Zoink.it Opens a Torrent Storage Cache
A few weeks ago Torrage, the world’s first torrent hosting service, opened up its source code to the public. With this code everyone can easily start a torrent hosting service to offer the BitTorrent community a little more redundancy, and Zoink.it is one of the first to do so.
Torrage is a platform where both individual users and large torrent indexers can host their torrents, to use as a backup or to save the costs of hosting torrents themselves. Several BitTorrent giants including Suprnova and EZTV use it already.
Although it’s good to see that Torrage got picked up this quickly, it also has a downside. The problem is that when Torrage goes down, no one would be able to download torrents from the sites that use it, unless they have backup links.
To avoid such a single point of failure a few extra caches would come in handy, and this is exactly what Zoink must have thought. Zoink.it is now offering a Torrage clone for the public to use, making the BitTorrent ecosystem a bit more stable.

Looks like zoink is searchable trought google

just to make people know…
It’s good to see other sites pop up for torrent storage, we shouldn’t rely on one source for all our things like we did with TPB!
