However, a digital copy of the album leaked before the official release and close to 200,000 BitTorrent users have already added it to their collection.<span id="more-692"></span></p>
<p>&#8216;Backspacer&#8217; will be officially released on September 20. <a href="http://www.pearljam.com/">Pearl Jam</a> decided not to use a label for the United States release and the album will be avaialble next week on the band&#8217;s website, iTunes and various independent record stores.</p>
<p>With nearly 200,000 downloads the album is leading this week&#8217;s chart of most downloaded music albums. Below is the top five for the week ending September 12.</p>
