Spotify Won’t Remove My Music, Says Artist

An artist who launched an attack on Spotify after he complained they paid him less than a busker could earn in a day, is angry again. Apparently Spotify won’t remove his music from their site.

UgglaLast month, Swedish artist and composer Magnus Uggla launched a scathing attack on the owners of Spotify.

After receiving virtually no payment from his music being played there, he ordered Spotify to withdraw his tracks from the service declaring, ā€œI’d rather be raped by The Pirate Bay.ā€

But now, just under a month later, Uggla is angry again. Despite demanding that Spotify remove his music it remains to this day.

Uggla is still blaming Sony boss Hasse Breitholtz for the continued problems, refering to him as the ‘Yoghurt Man’ on his blog.

Uggla says he will start making blog posts in English soon, as there has been international interest in his dispute.

Magnus Uggla’s attack was not primary on Spotify but Sony. Sony makes money on his music being played since they’re a share holder in spotify and thats why he rather be raped by The Pirate Bay then assfucked by Hasse Breitholtz.

I understand him. Sony sold his and other artist music to Spotify for stocks.

  • Well, sony kinda does need the cash nowadays. They probably already fired the person in charge of taking care of such things.

  • He doesn’t understand that the world is moving and he’s being left behind. Sad really.

  • wherever the man goes, he’ll be there. are you saying hes a relic of the past? if so, even those older than you deserve happiness, especially if they want to choose the direction of their work.
sorry dude, but that post really irked me.

  • I’ve heard some terrible things about Sony
ESPECIALLY with the rootkit scandal a few years ago (which they never actually removed)
Thats a prime example of the MAFIAA/distributers taking advantage of the artists

  • Is he even entitled to ask for the music to be removed? Did he not sign his rights away to Sony?
