Pirates Jump on Pearl Jam’s Backspacer

Pearl Jam’s ninth studio album ‘Backspacer’ is set to be released a week from now. However, a digital copy of the album leaked before the official release and close to 200,000 BitTorrent users have already added it to their collection.

‘Backspacer’ will be officially released on September 20. Pearl Jam decided not to use a label for the United States release and the album will be avaialble next week on the band’s website, iTunes and various independent record stores.

With nearly 200,000 downloads the album is leading this week’s chart of most downloaded music albums. Below is the top five for the week ending September 12.
