Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ Hits BitTorrent
In an attempt to thwart piracy, last week Sony’s CEO announced there would be a simultaneous worldwide release of Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’. He said it would take around a day to be pirated and he was absolutely right.
Poor Michael Jackson is only just cold and already the Hollywood money men are extracting cash from his coffin.
AEG, the company that was in charge of Jackson’s ill-fated tour, desperately needed to make their money back, so they have rushed out ‘This Is It’ in super quick time, despite the whole thing being in utterly bad taste.
Michael Jackson, one of pop’s greatest perfectionists, would never have allowed this footage to go out, but of course Sony and AEG don’t care. It seems strangely (in)appropriate, then, that this horror movie should be widely available on BitTorrent on Halloween, in all its Russian-subbed, cam-quality glory.
I’d like to say don’t download the cam and go and see it in a theater – Michael’s performances always glitter and they deserve to be seen properly – but I can’t endorse this movie in any form.
Listen to Michael’s music instead, that’s what he would’ve wanted.

Shame on them.
I am sorry. I disagree.
I quite liked This is it.
It was a nice tribute to MJ.
really!?
even though their raking in the cash!
He isn’t talking about it being a bad movie. He is saying that Michael Jackson wouldn’t have wanted the movie released and its disrespectful. They’re trying to make money off of his death. Its not like it hasn’t happened before though.
“They’re trying to make money off of his death.” Yes, that’s what they do. And tons of people will watch it, without thinking about this. So sad. :<
I haven’t seen it, but I do think it is bad taste to release it now. I love his music, and agree with enigmax on listening to it instead.
I will see the movie, but will wait for the dvdrip.
Those who have relationships with millions are often alone. And what is left afterwards are their stories – written in books, made into movies…… I personally think ‘This is it’ is an irony of what we see and what we precieve. Sad end though.
This film could have easily come across as a love letter to a fallen legend. It would have also been taken as a slap in the face to an already tarnished legacy left behind by a dimming star. This Is It is neither. This is a film that cuts deep, and leaves a memorable scar of hope. Jackson may have been an odd seed, but at least he wasn’t a sheep (black, OR white). He had heart, faith, and an understanding of what brilliance sounded (and looked) like. What we see here are both moments of defying confidence, and others of coyly depicted shy self-doubt.

They don’t give a sh*t if he’s dead or not, but they always find a way to suck money out of him even after he died. Those f**kers need to die so the world can advance without money sucking leechers.
either way, its interesting to see backstage performances and thats why you go to see the movie.. right?
besides this isn’t new.. im sure this footage would have been a dvd MJ would have sold after the tour – why else did they have cameras there for no apparent reason in high quality? :S think about it.
anyway, the dark knight got as big as it did.. why i wonder?
