How To Make a Personalized TV-Torrent RSS Feed
EZTV just released ezRSS, a new site that makes it easier to find the latest episodes of your favorite TV-shows. ezRSS has extended search options and support ‘search based rss feeds’. These allow anyone to make a personalized TV-torrent feed, all your favorite TV-torrents in one feed.
With ezRSS it takes just a few minutes to make your personalized TV-torrent feed.
Step 1.
Go to the shows listing at ezRSS. You’ll see a list of all the available shows. Browse through the list and click on your favorite TV-show.
Step 2.
You’ll now see a listing of the latest episodes. Take the Weeds list for example. Notice that there can be double postings in the list. This is because there are more distribution/release groups releasing the same episode in different qualities.
Use the search field on the top of the page to narrow down the results until only see one release per episode. For example, select SYS as the release group and HDTV as quality. Hit “search” and you will see that the search results are narrowed down to one release per episode.
Step 3.
Now we want an RSS feed for these customized results. All you have to do is Click on the “Search-based RSS Feed” link to get your custom TV-torrent RSS feed.
Step 4.
If you have more that one favorite TV-show you have to merge those custom feeds into one. So repeat step 1, 2 and 3 for all your favorite show and save the links to the custom feeds somewhere. If you have all the feeds you need, go to Feedjumbler, or another feed-merge service and merge your feeds into one.
Step 5.
Congrats, you’re done. You can auto download the torrents using torrent clients that support RSS downloads like Vuze, uTorrent, or alternatively you can add the feed to any regular RSS-reader
(Note that downloading TV-shows can be illegal in some countries. If so, consider moving to another country or collect the torrents just for fun)

Thank for the post. Too bad there is not a more reliable way to remove dupes and not miss anything. It seems not all shows Have the same release group always on the ball. Even Weeds, SYS is not on the ball before 5×4, and Top Gear is no better. It’d be nice if they had a counter/increment function in the search.. That’d be killer trick.

I recently found this website, where you can control which torrents in your RSS feed should be downloaded by uTorrent: http://www.feederator.org. It acts like a proxy between your RSS feed reader and torrent feeds like tvrss.net. You login with a google account, create a new feed and then you decide (e.g. from work) which torrents will be downloaded at home by publishing them on a new URL… Makes my life much easier, and I don’t have to download all the bad stuff in a feed…
