Halo 3: ODST For 360 Leaks Online
It’s not due for release for a few weeks yet, but Halo 3: ODST, the hugely anticipated release for Xbox360, has been leaked online.
Officially due later in September (22nd to be exact), Halo 3: ODST has been leaked to BitTorrent and Usenet.
Leaks happen every day, but the interesting thing about this leak is that the game didn’t take the usual route to the web (i.e, via ‘The Scene’) but was rumored to have gone to BitTorrent via Usenet from a French source.
Leaks which bypass The Scene completely are becoming more and more common and ODST is the latest in a long line of high profile movies and games to reach the Internet in this way.
The drawback for English speaking ODST fans is that the game’s audio is in French. However the game does have English subtitles and the menus too.
A more serious eventuality is that people trying to play the game online could find their Xbox banned from Xbox Live.
This isn’t gonna be a factor on whether or not I’m buying the game. I’m sure there are die hard Halo fans out there like me that agree that all though its nice to have a soft copy its always better to have a hard copy, especially if its LE… *drools*
