HAAAAAAAAA!! WWWOOOORRRRDDD to that AC! your comment:

"I also believe that Hollywood has vastly overvalued its wares.

People will download a crap movie and watch it if they’ve nothing better to do but they would never pay for it because it’s not worth it."

So neatly articulates what I could easily rant about to the effect of a 20,000 word treatise. In fact I did rant about it on Facebook's isohunt group *from which this page is linked)

Even if it's a half good movie it's still a waste of time compared to what else could have been done with the money and time if all those involved hadn't been jerking off each other's egos. It's time for the immature industry cry-babies to stop trying to con us into believing that a lie (file sharing is a crime) is the truth. I know that this propaganda is in the main directed toward those masses who don't have time to figure out the real potentials for culture and new ethics (no disrespect to them) but if they really think it's gonna fool the ones WHO ARE REALLY DRIVING THE FUTURE OF COLLABORATIVE DEMOCRACY THEY ARE MISTAKEN!

Oh, I just watched US NOW movie. It's great, check it out.

i agree with AC and Bill... i sont consider it theft... more like an extended trial :) i want to try stuff b4 i buy it, if i liked it i buy, if i didnt then i dont... easy as pie.
and seriously, AC has a point, if it wasnt for TPB and others, some people would never have known that some stuff exists... for example: the first time i got aware of BBC´s Planet Earth (really good btw, u should get the Blurays) was in fact on the pirate bay. few months later i bought the blu rays :)

SO HONESTLY, get over it... ppl will continue torrenting, no matter what "they" do. I say get over it and consider it a lost cause (to MPAA etc) its really a good way to promote their stuff ;) and should be treated accordingly (by them)

the way i look at it is

if i pay for internet with a LARGE download limit i don't think it should be called piracy when downloading stuff
to me i'm paying for that extra amount of downloads to obtain them downloads
so it should not be piracy

internet in australia is not cheap ( well we get ripped off and bent over )

anyways my 5cents worth, and yes i try before i buy and yes i buy

Not theft @ all. Had it not been for piracy, many (including myself) would have not ever purchased many items (data as in software, movies, & books) because we would have never heard of them. The only way we were aware of their existence is that we seen them on a p2p network or p2p site & then checked it out & perhaps later depending on if we liked the item, went on to support the development of it.
