AntiCrack For iPhone Makes Promises It Can’t Keep
According to recent statistics, around 60% of all iPhone apps are pirated. Now a new system called AntiCrack claims to “completely eliminate” this risk. Not a chance.
New statistics reported by PinchMedia reveal that 60% of all iPhone apps have been pirated.
Some of this piracy can be put down to Crackulous, the one-click cracking application.
Now a new system called AntiCrack has appeared on the scene claiming to thwart Crackulous and other cracking methods with this bold claim;
“AntiCrack contains proven technology which completely eliminates the risk of your apps getting pirated.”
“Completely eliminates” is a very bold statement indeed, so FreakBits took the opportunity to ask iPhone cracker most_uniQue for his opinion.
“AntiCrack’s features are becoming obsolete since Scene groups are starting to crack regularly,” he told FreakBits.
“COREPDA, iPWNPDA, IPPDA, Lz0PDA are releasing ~20 new apps every day and since they test all their apps before releasing, any crack detections are removed.”
AntiCrack is available for a ‘donation’ of between 30 and 100 euros, but not everyone can get a copy.
“Note that I reserve the right to refuse our services to you should your behavior suggest that you are not a developer but in fact somebody from the Hackulous forum [home of Crackulous and most_uniQue] trying to infiltrate our closely knit AntiCrack-Community,” says a note on the site.

Freedom will always prevail.
Only apps that don’t deserve money don’t receive it. The free market knows what it wants.
Well, shouldn’t the customer be the one to decide if he spends money or not? Bad software should get a bad reputation to prevent other customers from buying it. But just giving it away does not give any incentive to developers to improve their apps. Also: Tastes differ greatly regarding to what is “worth” money and what is not.
I would have liked for the author of this article to contact me about the developer’s side of this story. Unfortunately he did not and thus this is only half of the truth.
Hi Oliver
The only thing I have an issue with is your claim:
“AntiCrack contains proven technology which completely eliminates the risk of your apps getting pirated.”
Like I said, “completely eliminates” is a very bold claim indeed and that’s what caught my eye.
That said, we’re more than happy for you to have your say here, that’s partly what this site is for.
So if you’d like to put together a post and send it to me at enigmax[at]torrentfreak.com we’ll take it from there.
cheers for contributing
So do you actually have evidence of an anti-crack app being cracked or are you just talking trash?
You where right that my advertisement text was not accurate. AntiCrack aims to prevent _automatic_ cracking by means of Crackulous. And as far as I can tell it is successful in doing so.
I’ll write up my response to this article and will send you the link to cross post it on your blog.
Lol, the Anticrack guy completely rewrote his advertising now. No more does it completly stop all cracking but just “mitigates” it xD
[...] that AntiCrack 2.0 is able to prevent Crackulous 0.9 from decrypting apps. There was a blog post on freakbits.com flaming me for the original statement. The author of the post enigmax and a couple of other people [...]
Someone now has a sign on their back reading “H4X ME NAO FOR ENTERTAINMENT.”
Advertising that you’re trying to make apps crack-proof only issues a challenge to the crackers. It’s /sport/ at this point.
I don’t believe his intentions were to deceive anyone. Having used anticrack on my suite of apps and then gone back and tried to reverse engineer them, I can tell you that the protection works. Lol, I seriously doubt anyone will be able to remove all of the methods contained within it.
I agree completely that it will not stop someone who is driven and motivated, but it will stop the scumbag script kiddie who doesn’t know tcsh from bash.
Here is my appropriate side of the story, as promised:

@Drobnik
I’m not trying to start an internet holy war, but for every copy protection scheme released, three work-arounds are developed shortly thereafter. The best you can really do at that point is try and keep up. Best of luck to you.
Never will you say never!! It is impossible to stop the crackers.. Software is highly manipulative you know………..
